Unlike in the past, the process of extraction, purification and isolation of nucleic acids has become relatively simpler due to advancement of science leading to commercial interests. Currently, there are many specialized methods that can be used to extract pure DNA and RNA, such as solution-based, solid-based protocols etc.
Q-Line® Molecular Viral RNA extraction kit (Spin column method) is a solid phase nucleic acid purification format that allows quick and efficient purification compared to all conventional methods. The spin column is operated under centrifuge mechanism. A special silica matrix adsorption technology with a unique buffer system when subjected to centrifugation will elude the proteins and organic impurities. The purified RNA will be eluated in the final step and can be directly used for the PCR.

- Can be used for serum, plasma, CSF, urine, other cell free body fluids, cell culture supernatants, swabbed samples etc.
- An excellent recovery > 90% of viral RNA.
- Relatively easier to use.
- Approximately 1 hour extraction time for a batch of 30 samples.
- Kit is storable at RT (15 ~25°C) while the carrier RNA, after reconstitution has to be stored at -20°C.
